X Banner - Ankara Sejong Institute Graduation & Alumni Association
I undertook the design work for the X-Banners of the Sejonghakdang, an educational institution under the Ankara Korean Cultural Center. As this project was commissioned by an organization aimed at promoting Korean culture, I focused on maintaining a visual consistency between two banners for the graduation ceremony and alumni association, while infusing a Korean essence into the design.
Overall Design: For the main title, I used a brush script typefaces with an Eastern aesthetic, and the background evokes the texture of traditional Korean paper, known as "hanji." To increase the visual richness of the background, I simplified Eastern cloud motifs as sub-elements. Since the events take place in autumn, I incorporated a brown color palette to convey the autumnal ambiance.
Graduation Ceremony Banner: For the graduation ceremony banner, I incorporated modern-style graduation gowns onto the characters and adorned them with hats reminiscent of the headwear historically worn by Sungkyunkwan scholars. The characters are depicted facing each other with their backs touching, symbolizing the moment when students part ways after their graduation.
Alumni Association Banner: For the alumni association banner, I portrayed students dressed in casual attire, facing each other and warmly greeting one another. This scene signifies the reunion of graduates after their graduation.

앙카라 한국문화원 산하의 한국어 교육기관인 세종학당의 엑스배너 디자인 작업을 진행했다. 한국문화를 알리기위한 기관에서 의뢰받은 작업인 만큼 졸업식과 동문회 두가지 배너의 시각적 일관성을 맞추면서 한국적인 느낌을 살리는데 디자인의 초점을 맞추었다.
전체적인 디자인: 메인 타이틀로 동양적 느낌이 나는 붓글씨 서체를 사용하고 한지질감이 느껴지는 배경을 사용했다. 배경의 밀도를 높이기위해 서브 엘레멘트로 동양화의 구름모양을 단순화하여 사용했다. 가을에 개최되는 이벤트인만큼 가을의 느낌이 나는 갈색 컬러를 사용했다.
졸업식 배너: 졸업식 배너에 등장하는 캐릭터에 현대식 졸업가운에 성균관 유생들이 사용하던 모자를 씌워 현대판 유생들의 모습을 그려넣었고 서로 등을 맞대고 있는 연출로 졸업후 헤어지는 학생의 모습을 그렸다.
동문회 배너: 동문회 배너에는 사복을 입은 학생들이 서로 마주보며 반갑게 인사하는 모습으로 연출해 졸업후 다시만난 학생들의 모습을 그렸다.
